Cristiano Ronaldo is a big motivator for many athletes and footballers across the globe, but he also tries to motivate himself to keep pushing. Ronaldo has been on top of the game for over two decades, and he continues to shine on the pitch as he had a great season with Al Nassr individually. Despite this, he and the team did not win any major silverware. CR7 posted a great quote on his Instagram story that many did not understand. He posted a note that said, “Three aspects of reality: Pain, uncertainty, and constant work.” Cristiano took this phrase from the documentary “Stutz,” In which actor Jonah Hill interviewed psychotherapist Phil Stutz, presenting his unique visual model of psychotherapy. Stutz revealed that pain, uncertainty, and constant work will also be a part of our lives and will help us grow. Ronaldo posted this same phase after Portugal was eliminated from the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Many fans were unsure what to make of the message that Ronaldo posted on his Instagram story, but some saw it as his motivation. It is almost a week since Ronaldo and Al Nassr lost in the King’s Cup Final to Al Hilal, which confirmed that the team was not successful in the season, trophy-wise. The Portuguese striker may seem to use this phrase as fuel to be extra motivated for the upcoming EUROS 2024 with the Portuguese national team.
Ronaldo is currently on vacation with his family this week as the Portugal national team manager Roberto Martinez gave him a week off. CR7 is expected to join the Portugal camp next week for the friendly match against Ireland on Tuesday. Portugal is in Group F with Turkey, Georgia, and the Czech Republic.
Portugal’s game without Ronaldo last night
Portugal played a friendly match against Finland yesterday in preparation for the EUROS 2024. Without Ronaldo, Portugal defeated Finland 4-2 at the Estadio Jose Alvalade. The goalscorers were Ruben Dias, Diogo Jota, and Bruno Fernandes, who scored a brace. Teemu Pukki scored a brace for Finland in a span of five minutes, which got them closer to the game, but Bruno Fernandes scored a screamer in the 84th to seal the win.
