Inter Miami owner David Beckham enjoyed a catch-up with MLS star Lionel Messi during a recent training session.
WHAT HAPPENED?
The Inter Miami co-owner popped into training ahead of the clash with St. Louis and made sure to get a conversation in with his captain. Beckham could also be spotted kicking a few balls around himself and proving that, even 11 years after retirement, he still has a magic touch.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
The feel-good factor is in full effect at Inter Miami and the signing of Messi is starting to pay off. After proving what he could do in the second half of last season, the Argentina international has carried his form into the new campaign, leading the Herons to the top of the Eastern Conference in the MLS.

WHAT NEXT FOR MESSI AND INTER MIAMI?
The MLS campaign continues while European football takes a break. Miami host St. Louis this weekend before travelling to Philadelphia Union two weeks later. But they will have to compete without Messi when he joins up with the Argentina squad ahead of the Copa America. Their first match is against Canada on 21 June but they will first compete in two warm-up matches against Ecuador and Guatemala.
