Deco holds crucial meeting with Fermin Lopez agent, reporters explain why

Barcelona sporting director Deco held a crucial meeting with the agent of Fermin Lopez earlier in the day, according to Jijantes FC.

The reason for the meeting was simple, Barca are happy with Fermin and they want to extend his contract by a few more years.

Fermin’s current contract ends in 2027 but Barca wants him at the club for longer. The club will also improve his release clause from €400m.

Fermin had a great first senior season at Barca last term where he scored more goals than any other Barca midfielder (11).

Fermin also bagged six goals and two assists helping Spain win the Olympic Games in Paris.
