Fans blame 2 people as Barca start struggling against Valencia — not players or coach

Barcelona have started struggling in their La Liga opener against Valencia. Barca conceded first and almost conceded a second goal minutes later; thankfully, Pau Cubarsi cleared the ball off the line.

It looks like Valencia have been more physical and solid than Barca, particularly in midfield where youngsters Marc Casado and Marc Bernal are holding the fort.

Although Barca have gone on to equalize moments before the end of the first half, many Barca fans online are not happy with the club for not signing a defensive midfielder with days to go before the transfer window shuts.

Barca fans are blaming club president Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco for this oversight.

Here are some reactions:

“Deco is useless and everything Laporta did first time around, he’s undoing it now. 2 weeks to save the season,” one fan said.

Eric said, “This has to be Laporta Out, Deco Out, and half a staff Out.”

Tolosk: “Laporta and Deco need to take their head out of their ass and start doing something.”

Jimenez: “Deco and Laporta are a joke more with Deco than any other.”

BAT: “We can all see the stupidity of Laporta, Deco, and the whole Barca boards. WTF is happening to Barcelona? We can’t buy players for the past 4 seasons now. Whats really happening?
