According to information received from journalist Mario Cortegana, Real Madrid took the decision to buy the contract of distinguished striker Joselu by decision of President Florentino Perez, who believes that the player gave everything he had this season with Real Madrid and deserves to buy his contract permanently.
He added that the player’s situation was more than clear to the board of directors as the decision was made and he would end up reaching his purchase option.
The striker, who is on loan from Espanyol until June 30, 2024, will remain part of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad when Real Madrid activates the purchase option agreed upon with Espanyol. €1.5 million will be the amount paid to Espanyol with the aim of ensuring Joselu’s presence in Real Madrid’s squad next season.
