Hansi Flick goes public with his plans for Nico Williams in Barca v Athletic Club
Hansi Flick was asked how he plans to stop Nico Williams in Barca’s second La Liga game of the season against Athletic Club.
“In that department, we have an experienced player who will take care of it. Jules will do a great job in this regard,” Flick said.
Thus, Flick confirms his plans to have Kounde play at right-back against Bilbao. The Frenchman will be expected to fight many one-on-one duels against Williams during the game.
Barca tried to sign Williams during the summer but they couldn’t convince him with their financial offer thus the young left-winger decided to stay in Bilbao.
