Keanu Reeves’ band Dogstar to perform in Columbia in August
Los Angeles trio Dogstar will perform Aug. 24 at Rose Park. The band features actor Keanu Reeves on bass guitar. It is just one out of 29 stops on the band’s Summer Vacation Tour launching in early August. The band is currently touring Europe.
From left, Dogstar consists of drummer Robert Mailhouse, vocalist and guitarist Bret Domrose and bassist Keanu Reeves.
While Reeves’ reputation for shredding might be growing, he originally rose to fame in the role of Ted in “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure.” He then went on to spearhead “The Matrix” and “John Wick” movie franchises, among many more.
Dogstar released its first album in 20 years last October. Titled “Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees,” the album was released by the band’s record label, Dillon Street Records, and features its popular single, “Everything Turns Around.”
Tickets for the concert are on sale for $35. It will be part of the Central Bank Downtown Live! outdoor series, formerly known as Summerfest.
If you miss them in Columbia, you can catch Dogstar in Kansas City on Aug. 28.
