Kid Rock had not announced his appearance before the event but revealed his arrival in Milwaukee via a video posted on his social media.

In the video, as he exited a plane, he teased,  “What’s (going to) happen tonight?” Tune in to find out. But here’s a hint—are you scared?”

His performance was confirmed when sound check videos surfaced online, showing the singer rehearsing the performance he would later deliver in honor of Donald Trump.

The outspoken rock country artist has consistently voiced his political stances and has been very open about his support for Donald Trump, who he has described as a good friend for many years.

Trump also spoke highly of Kid Rock during his convention speech, saying, “He became a friend of mine over the last ten years and he’s amazing; everyone loves him.”
