Law and Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay is a huge star, but she often keeps her personal life private. But recently, she gave fans a rare look at a special moment with her husband, fellow actor Peter Hermann.

The longtime couple stepped out for the inaugural Gotham TV Awards in New York City on June 4, where Mariska was honored with a tribute for 25 years of being on Law and Order: SVU. Ahead of receiving the recognition, Mariska and Peter walked the red carpet together. Mariska stunned in a long-sleeved form-fitting silver dress, while Peter wore an all-black ensemble.

While Mariska and Peter, who have been married since 2004, and share kids August, Amaya and Andrew, prefer to keep their home life away from the cameras, they have opened up in the past about how their love for one another.

“My husband is my North Star, and my kids are my teachers,” she told People back in March 2018. “Our family is so perfect, or at least perfect for me. Together we’re just this whole, happy, joyful, chaotic, crazy unit. I’ve never known anything that was more right.”
