The Argentine captain was asked which is the best team in the world right now for him, and he mentioned two names; one of them, the club from Madrid.

“The best team, if we have to say, is Real Madrid, because they are the reigning Champions League winners,” stated the Argentine star, albeit with an important caveat.

“If you talk about results, it’s Madrid; if you talk about style of play, personally, I like Guardiola’s City,” Messi added. “I think any team with Guardiola will be special because of his character, his way of coaching, and how he makes his teams play. In terms of style of play, for me, City is the best; for results, Madrid,” he concluded.

Messi is already focused with Argentina preparing for the Copa America taking place in the United States, where they will defend their title. Their debut will be on June 20 against Canada.
