On May 19, 2021, Hargitay took to Instagram to share a photo of herself outside the Hospital for Special Surgery. In the image, she wore a leg brace and an ankle brace, indicating multiple injuries. She clarified in her post that, despite the severity of her injuries, she wouldn’t require surgery and assured fans that these injuries did not occur while filming.
