Pau Victor ignores easy pass to Roque v Man City – fans think he did it on purpose

Barcelona played their first game under new boss Hansi Flick this Wednesday.

Despite winning the friendly against Manchester City, some fans are still feeling bitter about one episode in the first half involving Pau Víctor and Vitor Roque.

Around the 20th minute, with the score still 0-0, Pau tried to charge into the box while the Brazilian made a run down the left flank at the same time.

It seemed like a straightforward choice to pass to Roque, who was in a better position to score. Instead, Pau attempted to dribble past the defenders himself.

When that didn’t work out, he passed the ball back to Marc Casado, who fired a long-range shot that missed the target.

Vitor looked visibly irritated at what just happened.

Some fans even think Pau might have ignored him on purpose, considering the two are essentially competing for the same position.

Do you think that’s what happened, or did he simply not see Roque?
