Post Malone shared a sweet tribute for Taylor Swift following the release of their “Fortnight” music video, as fans are loving their collab on her newest album The Tortured Poet’s Society.
But his tribute isn’t going over well with everyone, as it’s seemingly angered Beyonce’s fan base.
The controversy began when a fan highlighted the notable contrast in Post’s acknowledgments towards Taylor Swift and Beyonce, arguing his tribute for Swift was much more elaborate than the one he shared after collaborating with Beyonce.
On Instagram, Post recently wrote the following for Swift to commemorate “Fortnight,” “”It’s once in a lifetime that someone like @taylorswift comes into this world. I am floored by your heart and your mind, and I am beyond honored to have been asked to help you with your journey.”
The rapper added, “I love you so much. Thank you Tay.”
Fans Are Angry Post Malone’s Tribute To Taylor Was More Heartfelt Than His Beyonce One
Post Malone recently had a collaboration with Beyonce on her Cowboy Carter album, which released earlier this year, as the duo show off their vocal prowess on “LEVI’s JEANS.” While promoting their song online after its release, Post had a much simpler shout-out for Beyonce compared to his latest one for Taylor, writing, “i love you @beyonce.”
As TMZ points out, many angry members of the Beyhive took to X (formerly Twitter) to express their disappointment with Post Malone, and to question why he’d write something so personal for Taylor and not for Beyonce, which comes across like a diss.
However, some people argue that it’s probably nothing personal. Rather, since Taylor had apparently already made several posts expressing gratitude for their collab, Malone may have felt as though he had to come up with one that’s just as heartfelt.
“Taylor wrote two posts about him. he gave her same energy. stop crying for god’s sake,” one person suggested.
Another person added, “You are acting like as if he’s cursing on beyoncé or he said something bad like.. i don’t see any problem at all.”
Neither Post Malone nor Beyonce have addressed the controversy, and it appears Taylor is staying silent, too. As two of the biggest women in the music industry, fans have long pitted Taylor and Beyonce against each other. But the two musicians seemed to dispel rumors of a feud last year when they showed up to support each other’s concert movie premieres.

Interestingly, Post Malone has another connection to Taylor Swift, which may explain their close bond, or should we say, a connection to her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. The singer has a tattoo in honor of the NFL player, which he got years before collaborating on Swift’s latest album.
Travis recounted the story of Post’s tattoo mishap on his “New Heights” podcast back in February, comments that recently resurfaced given Taylor’s new collaboration with the artist. Post had to get inked due to a lost bet with Travis and fellow athlete Patrick Mahomes after the 2020 Super Bowl.
Following the game, Travis and Patrick, , joined the singer backstage at his Kansas City concert for a game of beer pong. A wager was made, stipulating that Post would have to tattoo the athletes’ names on himself if he lost – a consequence he faced as the game concluded in defeat, leading to a hilarious story.
