Shakira’s ‘Puntería’ is the official song of Copa America 2024
Shakira is known as the “Queen of the World Cup”, as her songs such as Hips don’t lie Bamboo , Waka Waka , La la la made waves at the 2006, 2010 and 2014 World Cups. Of which, the song Waka Waka is considered one of the best World Cup songs of all time.
At Copa America 2024 , Shakira will once again “return” to football when she will perform the official song of the tournament, called Puntería . Puntería features rapper Cardi B and appears on Shakira’s latest studio album. The song has a disco feel, mixed with modern pop sounds.
” Puntería will be the official song of Copa America 2024. This is the most important football event of the year. We know that this song will be the sound of summer for fans around the world,” said Shakira .
Shakira is not only a famous singer with many vibrant football songs, but she is also the wife of famous Spanish player Gerard Pique . They had a beautiful love affair that lasted more than 10 years, before “going their separate ways” in mid-2022.
Copa America 2024 will take place from June 20 to July 14 in the United States with 16 teams participating. Defending champion Argentina, led by Lionel Messi, will be in Group A with Peru, Chile, and Canada.
This tournament is likely to be Messi’s last international tournament with the Argentina team.
