The legendary midfielder has extended his contract with Real Madrid

The legendary midfielder, Luka Modrić, will remain with Real Madrid for another season, as reported by Fabrizio Romano.

The Croatian footballer has extended his contract with Los Blancos until the summer of 2025. All documents have been signed. Modrić has been an integral part of Real Madrid since 2012, having played 534 matches in all competitions during this period. He has scored 39 goals and provided 75 assists.

It’s noteworthy that Modrić appears to be unconcerned with the financial aspect of the deal. Despite interest from clubs in the USA, Saudi Arabia, and his hometown club Dinamo Zagreb, he has opted for Real Madrid, even though more lucrative offers were on the table elsewhere.

Recall that thanks to Real Madrid’s victory in yesterday’s Champions League final, Luka Modrić, alongside three teammates, equaled the record of Real Madrid legend Paco Gento. Now, five players in the world have achieved six victories in the most prestigious club tournament in Europe throughout history. With Modrić set to remain with the team for at least another year, he has every chance of surpassing this milestone.
