‘Understandable’: Hansi Flick explains why Thiago left Barca after just one month
“Thiago wants to focus on his family, which is very understandable. Maybe he will come back,” Hansi Flick has told the media.
Thiago Alcantara has left Barcelona after spending one month as Flick’s assistant. The Spaniard was responsible for the boss’ smooth adaptation at Barca and overcoming the German’s language barrier.
There was initially no plan to keep the 33-year-old beyond this summer. However, it’s not ruled out that the former Barca midfielder will re-join the club in the future.
Thiago retired from football while at Liverpool this summer.
