Indianapolis Colts second-year quarterback Anthony Richardson recently received a new tattoo that was so massive that he had to go to sleep for seven hours.

Anthony Richardson was drafted fourth overall by the Colts last year. Unfortunately, a series of injuries (including season-ending shoulder surgery) limited the Florida product to four games in his rookie season.

As Richardson works his way back from injury, the 22-year-old also decided to treat himself to a giant back tattoo this offseason. The tattoo was so big that he had to be put to sleep for seven hours.

During his appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show”, Anthony Richardson revealed that his new back tattoo took seven hours.

“People aren’t gonna like the fact that I went to sleep, but I’ve been getting tattoos since I was 13. So I’ve did my time in going through pain.”

Here’s a look at the tattoo:

Richardson showed promise in the four contests he played last year, completing 59.5 percent of pass attempts for 577 yards, three touchdowns and one interception along with 136 rushing yards and four rushing scores.

Despite not having Richardson for most of the season, the Colts finished 9-8 and nearly qualified for the postseason, losing a win-or-go-home Week 18 home contest to the Houston Texans.
