Warriors star Steph Curry, truly excited for the first time in his NBA career, will join Team USA in Paris for the Summer Olympic Games

For the first time in his NBA career, the Warriors star will be going to the Summer Olympics with Team USA to try to win gold. He’ll be wearing No. 4, which might be strange for Dub Nation, who have come to think of Curry as wearing No. 30.

In a recent interview with NBC Sports, Grant Hill, managing director of the USA Basketball Men’s National Team, talked about the special moment Curry got his jersey. This showed how excited the four-time NBA winner is to play for his country.

“Stephen Curry has done everything in the game … and the one thing he hasn’t done is played in the Olympics and win an Olympic gold medal,” he said. “So there was a ceremony last Friday after one of the Warriors’ home games. His coach, Steve Kerr, who is also the coach of Team USA, and Chris Mullin, a former Golden State Warrior, Hall of Famer, and two-time Olympian gold medalist, gave him this jersey while I watched on FaceTime.”

“I was thrilled to see Stephen Curry’s joy.” He was almost excited. I mean, I’m so thankful, like a kid.”
