Barcelona have been defeated 3-0 by Monaco in the Joan Gamper Trophy at Montjuic today.

This is the 59th edition of the tournament which was held for the first time in 1966. Barcelona have claimed the trophy 46 times and have now lost it 13 times.

The last time Barca failed to win the Gamper trophy happened in 2012, when the Catalans lost to Sampdoria 1-0. The Catalans won La Liga that season and reached the semi-final of the Champions League.
