Inter Miami left back Jordi Alba dribbles the ball during a match

Following a mid-season break, Inter Miami are set to return to the field with a trip to the Northeast.

Inter Miami travels to face the Philadelphia Union on Saturday, June 15 at Subaru Park in Chester, Pa. It will be a shorthanded Inter Miami side, as Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Matias Rojas, and Benjamin Cremaschi are all away on international duty. The former three will be taking part in this summer’s Copa America, while Cremaschi is in line to make the U.S. Olympic soccer team.

However, Inter Miami showed in Vancouver last month that they can win even without Messi. The remaining players, including Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, should all believe they have what it takes to win at Philadelphia.

Two years on from finishing first in the MLS Eastern Conference, the Union are struggling to just make the playoffs places. The Union currently sit in eighth, just above the playoff line, but one distraction and a win for DC United and the Union could be on the outside looking in.
