Xavi reveals the most important thing for Barcelona – it’s NOT winning trophies

Netflix recently released a documentary series, “La Liga: All Access,” giving us a captivating behind-the-scenes look at the Spanish league.

In one of the episodes, now ex-Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez claimed:

“The most important thing for Barca and its fans is to be above Real Madrid.”

While Xavi makes a valid point — Madrid are indeed a major contender in La Liga, and being the best means outperforming them — it’s just as crucial for the Catalans to focus on their own success.
