This notice explains what the NewsJob24 launch edition stores and where. It is a plain-language draft that should be reviewed by a qualified professional before the service handles real personal data.
What this site does not do
There are no user accounts, no logins and no payments. We do not run analytics or advertising trackers on the site at the time of writing. We do not sell personal information.
Information stored in your browser
Some features save information on your own device, using your browser's local storage:
- Saved jobs and guides, when you press a bookmark button.
- Your theme choice, light or dark.
- Beats you tick on the profile page.
- An email address, if you enter one on an alert form.
This information stays in your browser. It is not sent to us. You can remove it at any time from the profile page using the Clear everything button, or by clearing site data in your browser settings.
Forms that send email
The contact form and the employer interest form do not send messages through our servers. When you submit them, your own email app opens with a pre-filled message addressed to us. Nothing is sent until you press send in that app, and the message then travels through your email provider.
Third-party services
To display the site, your browser loads fonts and icons from Google Fonts and a styling library from a content delivery network. When it does, those providers can see technical information such as your IP address and browser type, under their own policies. We may replace these with self-hosted files in future.
Contacting us about privacy
For questions or requests about your data, write to the privacy address on the Contact page. Because we do not hold your data on our servers, in most cases the answer is that there is nothing to delete, but we will tell you what we can.
Children
The site is intended for people who work or want to work in media. It is not directed at children.
Changes
If we add accounts, analytics, applications or alert delivery, we will update this notice before those features start and explain what changes. The date at the foot of the page shows when it was last reviewed.
Draft status: this text is a starting point and not legal advice. Have it reviewed before real-world launch.
