Wire Alerts

Job alerts and a daily wire digest are planned for NewsJob24, but they are not live. This page explains what is planned and what happens to your email address in the meantime.

What is planned

• A short morning digest with new listings, filtered by the beats you follow.
• Alerts for listings that match a saved search.
• A weekly summary of new guides from the Career Wire.

Nothing will be sent until real listings exist and we have asked you to confirm your subscription.

What happens to your email today

If you enter your email on an alert form, it is saved in your own browser only, using local storage. It is not sent to us or to anyone else. You can see it on your profile page and remove it with the Clear everything button. If you switch browsers or devices, you will need to enter it again.

When alerts launch

When alerts are ready, we will describe how they work on this page and ask you to opt in. You will not be subscribed automatically on the basis of anything you entered in this launch edition, and you will have a clear way to leave.

What you can do now

1. Browse the sample listings to see how the filters work.
2. Save sample roles with the bookmark button and visit the Saved page.
3. Tick the beats you care about on your profile page.
4. Read the guides on the Career Wire, which are updated as the site grows.

Why the delay

Sending email responsibly means having a real data store, a clear privacy policy, a way to confirm subscriptions and a way to unsubscribe. We would rather wait until those are ready than collect addresses we cannot look after.

Employers

If you represent a newsroom and want your roles in the digest when posting opens, use the employer interest form on the Post a Job page. It opens your email app with a message addressed to the partners address.
